1h 45min run

Marcy: ran 12 miles from the house along Marine View drive to just past Salty's. Average pace 8:45/mile.
Bob: handed off Sadie and ran home, 12.25 miles average pace 8:36/ mile. My right foot lower leg hurt a bit, but it went away about mile 4. Foot/ lower leg a bit sore after the run -- will take it easy next week and hope it gets better.

Saturday BIG RUN

Beth: I ran over 9 miles again. Went from the apartment to the World Trade Center and then to Union Square (took the subway home). I ran slower this time because of all the traffic lights (yeah, the traffic lights) and because I went out to dinner with Jen last night. Hey, margarita.

I left at 7 AM since it's going to be 90 today. Yikes.

I watched myself run by a few shop windows. I was sticking my butt, which is a weird way to run.

I forgot to post that I went to my work out class twice this week and did a four-mile run. The run, according to D, was a littler slower than normal. Hope to pick up my speed on race day.

gym and recovery run

Bob: gym before work (shoulders/ legs/ triceps/ abs). 4 mile recovery run in the afternoon - 9:50/ mile pace. Chirunning focus = relaxed lower legas and ankles. I was focusing so much on getting the mid foot strike that I was tensing my ankles, and getting some pain in my lower legs. Relaxing ankles = no pain.

I also stopped by a running store to find an outfit for race day....
