Bob ran salmon days 10k on 10/5/08
39:07 (6:19 pace)
mile 1: 6:08
mile 2: 6:12
mile 3: 6:29 (slightly uphill, ouch, this hurts)
mile 4: 6:17 (better pick it up if you want to get under 40 min)
mile 5: 6:03
mile 6: 6:08 (weaving through 5k runners)
mile 6.2 1:46 (garmin measured .3, even though mile 5 split was very close to race mile marker...probably the weaving the last 1.2 miles added a bit, 5:58 pace for the .3)
10k hurts different than the 1/2 marathon or marathon...reverse engineering my goal of 1h25 at the seattle 1/2 at http://www.mcmillanrunning.com/mcmillanrunningcalculator.htm, i wanted to be 38:12, but didnt quite make it...
